Tilden Regional Park is one of my favorites: the open meadows, the forested trails, and the incredible golden-hour light in the hills make it extraordinary for families with young children. The Berkeley Botanical Gardens have something for every season and are so accessible for earlier morning sessions with toddlers.
UC Berkeley is a favorite for UCSB alumni. The campus is not only nostalgic for your college days but also offers a beautiful backdrop for your future Cal Bear. Inspiration Point in Tilden offers sweeping views over the bay that work beautifully for maternity and family sessions alike.
I guide families into movement rather than poses — paying attention to how you naturally connect, and creating the conditions for real moments to happen. Yes! I have two of my own, volunteer weekly in a school classroom of 3-5 year olds, was a former elementary volunteer and now primarily photograph younger families. While some children may need time to warm up to the camera, I know we will be able to capture memories you'll cherish during our session.
