The Lafayette Reservoir is a stunning location — the evening light along the water is hard to beat, and there's plenty of open space for kids to move freely without feeling rushed. Lafayette Community Park is another favorite, with ancient oaks and open lawns that create a natural, unhurried backdrop that works beautifully for families with young children.
I guide families into movement rather than poses — observing how you naturally interact first, then creating moments that feel true to who you are. For new and growing families in Lafayette, I offer relaxed in-home newborn sessions. Rather than bringing you into a studio, I come to you — working with the natural light and comfort of your own home to create images that feel personal and true to this moment.
As a Lafayette newborn photographer, I know the Lamorinda area well and am happy to travel to Orinda and Moraga too. I recommend booking by your third trimester to secure your spot. Newborn sessions are typically scheduled within the first few weeks after birth, but I'm happy to discuss timing based on your family.
In-home newborn sessions are calm, unhurried, and completely led by your baby. Your house doesn't need to be perfect. You just had a baby — I'm there for you and that little one, nothing else.

Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 28 and 34 weeks.Lafayette's hills in the late afternoon — especially in spring and fall — create some of the most beautiful natural light for maternity photography anywhere in the Bay Area. I recommend booking early to secure your preferred season.

Do you travel to Orinda and Moraga for newborn sessions?
Lafayette Community Park, with its ancient oaks and wide lawns, is another beautiful option for families with younger children. For something more dramatic, the hills above Orinda offer incredible golden-hour light in spring and fall.I'll help you choose based on your family and the time of year.
What are the best locations for family photos in Lafayette?
Yes! I have two of my own, volunteer weekly in a school classroom of 3-5 year olds, was a former elementary volunteer and now primarily photograph younger families. While some children may need time to warm up to the camera, I know we will be able to capture memories you'll cherish during our session.
