Family sessions in Piedmont don't need to feel structured to be meaningful — and with young kids, they rarely are. Dracena Park is one of my favorite Piedmont locations — open space, beautiful light, and enough room for kids to move freely without feeling hemmed in. The towering trees and wide lawns create a natural, unhurried backdrop that works beautifully in every season. Piedmont Park is another stunning option, with its mature oaks and that sense of quiet, established beauty that feels distinctly Piedmont.
I guide families into movement rather than poses — observing how you naturally interact, then creating moments that feel true to who you are. While I love shooting in Piedmont and know these locations well, I work throughout the East Bay and greater Bay Area and am happy to travel and suggest locations wherever feels right for your family.

For new and growing families in Piedmont, I offer relaxed in-home newborn sessions. Rather than bringing you into a studio, I come to you — working with the natural light and comfort of your own home to create images that feel personal and true to this moment. Piedmont homes tend to have beautiful light, and I know how to use it.
As you Piedmont newborn photographer, I recommend booking by your third trimester to secure your spot. Newborn sessions are typically scheduled within the first few weeks after birth, but I'm happy to discuss timing based on your family.
In-home newborn sessions are calm, unhurried, and completely led by your baby. Your house doesn't need to be perfect. You just had a baby — I'm there for you and that little one, nothing else.

Piedmont Park at golden hour, with its canopy of mature trees and dappled afternoon light, is one of my favorite East Bay maternity locations. For something more expansive, the hills above Piedmont and the surrounding area offer incredible variety depending on the mood and season you're going for.

Yes! I have two of my own, volunteer weekly in a school classroom of 3-5 year olds, was a former elementary volunteer and now primarily photograph younger families. While some children may need time to warm up to the camera, I know we will be able to capture memories you'll cherish during our session.
