Piedmont is the kind of place where families put down roots and stay — and the seasons with young kids move faster than anyone warns you. As a Piedmont newborn photographer and family photographer serving the East Bay, I photograph the families who are in the middle of it all: the brand-new baby you're still getting to know, the toddler years that are somehow already slipping by, the family you're becoming. Relaxed, play-based, and completely true to who you actually are.
Family sessions in Piedmont don't need to feel structured to be meaningful — and with young kids, they rarely are. Most families I photograph are in a season of beautiful chaos: energy, emotion, unpredictability, and more love than anyone knows what to do with. The goal isn't to control that. It's to work within it.
Dracena Park is one of my favorite Piedmont locations — open space, beautiful light, and enough room for kids to move freely without feeling hemmed in. The towering trees and wide lawns create a natural, unhurried backdrop that works beautifully in every season. Piedmont Park is another stunning option, with its mature oaks and that sense of quiet, established beauty that feels distinctly Piedmont.
I guide families into movement rather than poses — observing how you naturally interact, then creating moments that feel true to who you are. While I love shooting in Piedmont and know these locations well, I work throughout the East Bay and greater Bay Area and am happy to travel and suggest locations wherever feels right for your family.
For new and growing families in Piedmont, I offer relaxed in-home newborn sessions. Rather than bringing you into a studio, I come to you — working with the natural light and comfort of your own home to create images that feel personal and true to this moment. Piedmont homes tend to have beautiful light, and I know how to use it.
As you Piedmont newborn photographer, I recommend booking by your third trimester to secure your spot. Newborn sessions are typically scheduled within the first few weeks after birth, but I'm happy to discuss timing based on your family.
In-home newborn sessions are calm, unhurried, and completely led by your baby. Your house doesn't need to be perfect. You just had a baby — I'm there for you and that little one, nothing else.
Maternity sessions are about more than a bump — they're about capturing you in this particular season, exactly as you are right now. Piedmont Park at golden hour, with its canopy of mature trees and dappled afternoon light, is one of my favorite East Bay maternity locations. For something more expansive, the hills above Piedmont and the surrounding area offer incredible variety depending on the mood and season you're going for.
Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 28 and 34 weeks. If you're expecting and based in Piedmont or the surrounding area, I'd love to document this for you before your little one arrives.
Let's Connect
You don't need your kids to behave a certain way for the session to work. They don't need to sit still, smile on cue, or interact perfectly with each other. I guide when needed, but mostly I'm paying attention to how your family already works together — that's where the connection worth remembering comes from.
As a Bay Area mom of two, I get it.
Based in Alameda, I serve families throughout the East Bay including Oakland, Rockridge, Montclair, Berkeley, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda and beyond.
Family and maternity sessions take place outdoors at locations across the Bay Area. Newborn sessions come to you, wherever home is.
I have received your message and will get back to you as soon as possible within 1-2 business days. I cannot wait to chat with you!
THANK YOU!

The sweet spot for those sleepy newborn photos is typically 7-14 days old. If that timeframe does not work for your family, you haven't missed your chance. Honor your family's timeline. Babies older than one month will offer more eye contact, connection and potentially sweet smiles.
Absolutely. While I love photographing in Piedmont, I serve families throughout East Bay and greater Bay Area — San Francisco, Berkeley, Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Palo Alto and beyond. I'm happy to suggest locations wherever feels right for your family.
Wardrobe greatly impacts the results of your images. I provide detailed tips on styling your family, and am available to help you coordinate outfits so everyone looks and feels beautifully in sync.
Yes — I come to you. In-home newborn sessions are available throughout Piedmont and the surrounding East Bay. I work with your home's natural light and the details of your own space to create something personal and true to this moment in your family's life.
Dracena Park's open space, light, and room for kids to run freely make it one of the best family session locations in the East Bay. Piedmont Park is another beautiful option, especially for maternity sessions or families who want something with a more garden-like, established feel. I'll help you choose based on your family and the time of year.
Yes! I have two of my own, volunteer weekly in a school classroom of 3-5 year olds, was a former elementary volunteer and now primarily photograph younger families. While some children may need time to warm up to the camera, I know we will be able to capture memories you'll cherish during our session.
